NAU Tobacco Free Policy

Greetings

Great news! Northern Arizona University’s Student Health Advisory Committee (SHAC) is proposing a Tobacco Free Policy to help our mountain campus join over 1372 smoke and tobacco free colleges and universities in the nation. They have worked hard for several years on this issue. Last spring semester they collected many more student signatures than they needed to have the issue put on the ballot.

They are holding two forums with a short presentation with information about the proposed policy followed by a question and answer session. The forums are as follows:

Wednesday, Sept. 24th at the DuBois Center 7 – 8 pm.
Monday September 29th in the Health and Learning Center in Health Promotion (on North Campus across from the Natatorium) from 5 – 6 pm

Students will begin online voting on the issue beginning September 29th and the vote will end on Oct. 6th.

Please help NAU protect the environment and  health of students, staff and visitors at the beautiful mountain campus.

Please help spread the word!

Take care,
