Healthy Living Workshop starts Aug. 7th
Greetings ALL,
Here is a flyer for the next FREE six-week Health Living Workshop that be held at the Health Department on King St. beginning on August 7th. Designed by Stanford University, this popular workshop meets once a week for 2 and ½ hours with refreshments served during the break. Participants have stated that this workshop has changed their lives.
Also attached is a referral that can be used by Health Care Providers and other agencies that would like to make referrals to this workshop. We will connect your referrals to upcoming workshops so they won't miss out on an opportunity to improve their health and their lives.
If you have any questions, please contact me. To enroll in the workshop, please contact George Hamblin, whose name and contact information is on the flyer.
Also, those who complete the workshop, there will be a bonus gift of the new edition of the Living a Healthy Life book. ($20 value).
Thank you very much!

We have a rare opportunity to meet with one of the leading researchers on self-compassion. Flagstaff Medical Center's Ethics Committee is bringing Kristin Neff to our hospital. Dr. Neff, professor of Human Development and Culture at the University of Texas, Austin has been exploring the psychological implications of self-compassion for many years. She comes to FMC to share her expertise and tips for cultivating self-compassion as healthcare workers. She will be presenting in McGee Auditorium on Tuesday, July 16th from 5:30-6:30 pm and again on Wednesday, July 17th from 9:30-10:30 am. The sessions are free and open to the public. Please share the word about this wonderful opportunity. We hope you can join us and bring a coworker, friend or family. Come early to enjoy refreshments. CEU’s are available for all attendees. For questions or more information, contact the FMC Ethics Committee at ethicsconsult@nahealth.com; or Barb White, MS, LMT at barbara.white@nahealth.com; or call 773-2125.
