Luna Fest

Flagstaff Medical Center’s Women and Infants’ Center is hosting LUNAFEST at Prochnow Auditorium on October 7, 2012. LUNAFEST is a national, traveling film festival that features award-winning films by, for, about women. The LUNAFEST films range from animation to fictional drama and cover topics relating to women’s health, body image, relationships, cultural diversity, breaking barriers, motherhood and more. LUNAFEST promotes women filmmakers, raises awareness for women’s issues and supports women’s non-profit organizations. This season's program of nine selected films will promote discussion, bring laughter, tears, and motivate women to make a difference in their community. A description of the films is attached, as well as an event flier. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund and FMC’s Pregnancy and Postpartum Adjustment Programs that provide free screening, education, referrals and a weekly support group for women and their families suffering from Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders.
