The Coconino County Board of Supervisors will conduct a
public hearing at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday April 15, 2014 to consider the adoption of Ordinance
No 2014-03; Ban of Portable Communication Devices and Texting While
Operating a Motor Vehicle: A proposal to adopt an Ordinance which prohibits
a motor vehicle operator from using a portable communications device while
driving if it requires pressing more than a single button. The public hearing
will take place at the First Floor Meeting Room, County Administrative Center,
219 E. Cherry Ave., Flagstaff, AZ. Comments on the ordinance can be made in
person during the public hearing or can be submitted in advance to the Clerk of
the Board of Supervisors, 219 E. Cherry, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. Additional
information, including the complete text of the ordinance, is available for
review at the Clerk’s Office and at the County’s website at http://www.coconino.az.gov/.
