Invites Native American Families to celebrate
A Winter Cultural Family Night!

DATE:   Monday, January 23, 2012
TIME: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
PLACE: Flagstaff High School Commons Area

In the spirit of Winter, come join us!  The evening is complete with music for our enjoyment and cultural arts & crafts for you and your children to enjoy making together.

Food always brings people together so we would like to ask families to bring nutritious snacks and/or traditional/cultural foods representative of the southwest to share.  Here are some suggestions:  Blue Corn Mush, Navajo cake, Blue Corn Bread, Kneeldown bread, tortillas, tamales, Squash stew/soup, pesole’, red/green chili or corn stew, pinon nuts, melons, sumac pudding, pikki bread, Navajo blue corn crepes, smoked salmon, sweet breads or blue marbles and others.

Please bring enough for 15 people.   All foods must be pre-prepared.

* ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS:  Any traditional foods or Veggie/fruit trays, or
* MIDDLE SCHOOLS:  finger sandwiches, crackers & cheese or traditional foods
* HIGH SCHOOLS:  Fruit trays, Chips/Dips, Nuts or traditional native foods
