Understanding Youth Developmental Assets
Dr. Gale Gorke, founder of Kids Kan, Inc., is coming back to Arizona for another engaging workshop series! Dr. Gorke has served as a District Coordinator for after school programs in California, has over 25 years of teaching at both the elementary and secondary levels, and has a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with focus on academic intervention.
Dr. Gorke was the Keynote Speaker at the 2011 Arizona Statewide After school Conference and has facilitated numerous inspiring workshops with AzCASE!

Workshop participants will learn about the youth developmental assets: the experiences and qualities that help influence choices young people make and help them to become caring, responsible adults ready for college, work and life. Participants will walk about with concrete strategies to incorporate asset-building into their after school program.
