March for Babies 2011

March of Dimes is the only health agency in history to have funded a cure - Dr. Jonas Salk’s polio vaccine in 1954. With this success, the March of Dimes turned to ensuring that all babies everywhere have a healthy start in life by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

Chairperson Job Description

One year as March for Babies committee Chairperson, 3 – 5 years commitment from company as team and sponsor

REVENUE:

2011 Flagstaff March for Babies Goal: $40,000

• Confirm own company as March for Babies team
• Confirm sponsorship, ideally top level, from own company
• Motivate entire March for Babies committee to recruit 2 new teams and or sponsors, each
• Recruit 10 new teams
• Recruit 5 new sponsors
• Help grow Revenue committee by identifying and helping with recruitment of 3 Revenue committee members. Each member would be asked to bring in a set dollar amount.
• Help generate new revenue for March of Dimes through own company or external contacts.

COMMITTEE:

• Help recruit committee members and committee chairs
• Lead committee meetings as scheduled
• Weekly correspondence with March of Dimes Community Director regarding progress

EVENT PARTICIPATION:

• Preside over March for Babies Kick off and Day of March for Babies
MEDIA:
• Act as media spokesperson on behalf of March of Dimes
