United Way of Northern Arizona's Community Impact proposals

Dear Community Member,

United Way of Northern Arizona has received Community Impact proposals for its upcoming program year (2011/2012).

Qualifications:

• Have interest in community social services
• Feel comfortable with reading and interpreting program/services information
• Be willing to commit the time necessary to do the best job possible

Responsibilities:

• Become knowledgeable regarding United Way of Northern Arizona’s community investment process by attending the community investment volunteer training session. (Monday, February 14th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.)
• Become knowledgeable regarding agencies assigned to you, and specifics of programs for which funds are requested. (Site Visits will be conducted February 28th – March 11th)
• Each volunteer is asked to review 5 proposals’ narratives and fiscal reports and complete a Rating Sheet.
• Attend all meetings of your assigned panel and recommend funding levels to Community Investment Committee Chairs.
• Complete Volunteer Disclaimer Form disclosing any United Way partner involvement and any possible conflicts of interest.
• Ensure that community investment decisions are based on information provided with submitted proposals

Time Involvement:

• Material Distribution & Information Session – 3 hours
• Proposal Reviews – 5 hours
• Site Visits – 5 hours
• Team Meetings – 2 hours
• Total – 15 hours (Time will vary)
