1st Flagstaff N. AZ Parkinson’s Conference

A reminder: The first Northern Arizona Parkinson’s Disease Conference is being planned for June 16. It will be held at the Lodge at The Peaks from 9:00am to 3pm.

The goal of this conference is to provide information on methods and options for improving the quality of life for the Parkinson’s community.

Our keynote speaker, John Carlin, a fellow PWP will be speaking about his experiences with Parkinson’s, including his Mt. Kilimanjaro climb and how attitude and activity can benefit us.

“Hope, Health and Humor” is the title of his talk.

We will also have a presentation on the new TeleMed Program available to Parkinson’s patients in N. AZ by Dr. Christina Ospina, a Movement Disorder’s Specialist from Phoenix who is currently working as a consulting neurologist with local patients.

In addition, there will be presentations on complementary therapies available to local PWP’s and services available in Northern Arizona.  Scattered throughout the day will be some activities designed to get us up and moving

A Brown Bag Lunch, provided by New Frontiers, is included in the $10 registration fee.
